JAMES RECKNELL
James is our rehearsals accompanist and is also a regular continuo player at our concerts. He read music at Cambridge University where he achieved an MA, and he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists in 1986.

He moved from London to Suffolk in 1979, was Musical Director for Bury St. Edmunds Operatic and Dramatic Society during the eighties, Conductor of the Thetford Singers from 1979 until 1986, and more recently was Music Director of St. Edmundsbury Male Voice Choir for eight years.

James has been Director of Music at Culford School since 1981, where in addition to being responsible for the school's ensembles and choirs, he has run the Culford Choral Society for over twenty-five years.
