Music Director of Bury Bach Choir

Philip Reed has been our Music Director for the last 21 years, leading the choir to new standards of excellence and achievement. As the choir’s third Music Director since our formation ninety years ago, Philip’s unique contribution to our history will be valued long into the future. His time with us has now drawn to a close, and he leaves us with our best wishes for the future. See Choir History for more details of his time with the choir.

We are now actively looking to appoint our next Music Director.  Pending this appointment, we have invited Tom Appleton to direct and conduct our next concert. Tom is very well known for his widespread contributions to classical music in Suffolk and beyond, including ten years as a singer with the Monteverdi Choir under Sir John Eliot Gardiner.
